  1. Introduction
    1. ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ conforms to the , approved on January 11, 1990.
    2. Students' rights of participation in ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ activities and programs shall be in conformity with all pertinent federal and state laws on nondiscrimination.
    3. ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ provides access for all students to student handbooks or other appropriate referral materials with summaries of pertinent policies, rules, and regulations.
    4. ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ has established ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ Policy V-1.03 Code of Student Conduct Policy to process allegations of prohibited conduct and ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ Policy V-1.02 Student Grievance Procedures Policy to process student grievances.
  2. Services to Student
    1. ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ provides academic advising (see ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ Policy V-1.01 Academic Advising) and other services to meet the diverse needs of its student body. These other services include:
      1. Career Services
        1. All ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ students may obtain information regarding career and employment resources on the ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ Career ServicesÌý·É±ð²ú±è²¹²µ±ð.
      2. Tutoring Services
        1. All ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ students may obtain information regarding online effective writing services.
        2. Information on tutoring services can be obtained from the ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ Tutoring ServicesÌý·É±ð²ú±è²¹²µ±ð.
      3. Veterans Services
        1. °Õ³ó±ðÌýVeteran's Certification Office is responsible for the procedures involved in the certification of enrollments of veterans and active duty personnel and their dependents who are eligible for educational benefits from the Department of Veterans Affairs, under the following programs:
          1. Chapter 30: Montgomery G.I. Bill – Active Duty Educational Assistance Program
          2. Chapter 31: Veteran Readiness and Employment
          3. Chapter 32: Post-Vietnam Era Veterans' Educational Assistance Program and the Education Assistance Pilot Program Section 903
          4. Chapter 35: Dependents' Educations Assistance Program
          5. Chapter 1606: Montgomery G.I. Bill - Selected Reserve Educational Assistance Program 
          6. REPS: Restored Entitlement Program for Survivors Hostage Relief Act of 1980 
          7. Omnibus Diplomatic Veterans Affairs Tutorial Benefits Program 
          8. Department of Veterans Affairs Work Study Program 
          9. Department of Veterans Affairs Tutorial Benefits Program 
          10. Department of Veterans Affairs Educational Loan Program
        2. The procedures carried out by ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ will be in accordance with the law (Title 38, United States Code) and regulated by the Department of Veterans Affairs (Title 38, Code of Federal Regulations).
      4. Disabled Student Services
        1. Accessibility Services is designated to work with students requesting accommodations based on a disability. Such students must register and request accommodations. Students must provide documentation from an appropriate professional that verifies the presence and impact of the disability. The Director reviews the documentation and determines eligibility for accommodations. Appropriate accommodations are provided with assistance from ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ faculty and staff as necessary.
        2. Students who wish to register and request accommodations should follow the Accessibility Services instructions to do so.
        3. Faculty members shall refer disabled students who request accommodations to Accessibility Services. Faculty shall not determine whether a student is eligible for accommodations or what accommodations are appropriate.
      5. Personal Counseling
        1. ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½-Adelphi students seeking help with personal-social problems that interfere with academic progress will be referred to professional counseling services in the community following an initial consultation with an advisor on a resource team or the Staff Support Team. ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½-Adelphi students who are members of the U.S. military are encouraged to contact the counseling facilities, or other similar agencies, available on their military base or in the community.
        2. ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½-Europe and ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½-Asia students who are members of the U.S. military community who seek personal counseling are encouraged to contact the counseling facilities, or other similar agencies, available on their military base or in the community.
